The location was near shops. There was a family pub and restaurant attached to the hotel.. it was ideal. Restaurants and shops were also in close proximity.
The pillows felt too hard. I didn't sleep well because of this, and my body ached. I could hear noise from above, perhaps rats, or a guest with a pet, and there was no phone to call reception.

The reception staff were excellent! They offered me a ground floor room. It was a lovely touch, as the hotel does not have a lift. I could access the restaurant through reception. Dinner and breakfast were VERY nice!!!
There was no milk provided for coffee, a bit of a letdown. It was classed as beautiful room, but I'm not sure what was beautiful about it. I wasn't given any information when checking in.

i found easy parking upon arrival, so that was a plus. i also noticed a pub next door that served food. the room had everything i needed and it was a nice size.
the pillows were just a bit too firm for my preference.

the location is very handy for visiting nearby shops. i enjoyed the breakfast i ate in saracens head. i found the staff friendly and helpful .
the shower has some parts that seemed poorly repaired. i noticed foreign hair in the bathroom which i do not appreciated.

the reception staff were really good. my room was nice and quiet. it was also nice and neat.
the pub attached to the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. after i took my food order one evening , they announced that the kitchen was closed. this happened at about 7.45 in the evening.
